To clean an Arabic floor sofa, unzip the covers, machine wash them at 30°C (86°F) on a gentle cycle, and let them air dry before putting them back on. The foam inside is not washed; it is aired and spot cleaned. Every cover on our sets has a hidden zipper for this reason.
How do you wash the covers?
- Remove the covers. Find the hidden zipper along the back or underside edge of each piece and slide the foam out.
- Close the zippers. Zipped covers keep their shape and do not snag other pieces.
- Turn them inside out. This protects the woven pattern and any tassels.
- Wash cold. 30°C / 86°F, gentle or delicate cycle, mild liquid detergent. No bleach.
- Wash similar colors together. Dark reds and navy can release dye in the first wash.
- Air dry. Hang or lay flat away from direct sun. High dryer heat can shrink woven fabric.
- Refit while very slightly damp. The cover slides on more easily and dries to a snug fit.

How often should you wash them?
| Household | Suggested routine |
|---|---|
| Adults only, light use | Every 3 to 4 months |
| Children or pets | Every 4 to 6 weeks for the seat covers |
| After hosting a large gathering | Seat covers and floor cushions |
| Weekly, any household | Vacuum with a brush attachment |
How do you remove common stains?
Act while the stain is wet. Blot, do not rub.
| Stain | What to do |
|---|---|
| Tea or coffee | Blot, then dab with cold water and a drop of dish soap. Wash the cover the same day. |
| Oil or greasy food | Cover with baking soda or cornstarch for 15 minutes, brush off, then treat with dish soap. |
| Juice or soda | Blot and rinse with cold water. Avoid hot water, which sets sugar stains. |
| Ink | Dab with rubbing alcohol on a white cloth, working from the outside in. |
| Mud | Let it dry fully, vacuum, then wash. |
Test any cleaner on a hidden seam first.
How do you care for the foam?
- Do not machine wash or soak foam. It holds water and takes days to dry.
- If liquid reaches the foam, press it out with dry towels and stand the piece upright in moving air until fully dry.
- Air it out whenever the covers are in the wash.
- Rotate the base cushions end to end every month or two so they wear evenly.
What about the rug and ottoman?
The ottoman cover unzips and washes like the others. Vacuum the rug on both sides and spot clean it; for a deep clean, use a professional rug cleaner.

Frequently asked questions
Can I put the covers in the dryer?
We recommend air drying. If you must use a dryer, choose the lowest heat and remove the covers while slightly damp.
Will the colors fade?
Cold water, mild detergent, and drying out of direct sun keep the pattern bright. Wash dark colors separately the first time.
Is the sofa safe for homes with kids and pets?
Yes. Removable washable covers are the main reason families choose it. There is no frame to chew, no legs to scratch, and nothing that cannot be cleaned.
